I think I'm going to need to stay here in Provo before too long. I had a good day here today, despite not being able to take my final today (which will be explained later). For the first time in a long while I woke up with my alarm and actually moved out of bed. It was raining outside. Ugh. Still, I packed up some stuff, hauled it down the stairs and into my car, and I left to Provo. It took me longer than usual to get there because of the terrible weather conditions. When I got there, however, I proved that I still have master backing skills. I hold that most people couldn't back their car into the parking space that I backed into.
After trying to get myself to do some math homework, I met Megan Nield at The Brick Oven for lunch. I worried, because I never really knew what her boyfriend, Sam Speer, thought of me. We were friends in high school, and he's the one responsible for the nickname "the devil's child" sticking among that group (this has a lot to do with the fact that I was the least sheltered one of the group, but if you asked my non-lds friends they would tell you that I am, in fact, sheltered). We talked occasionally because his best friend and I were friends. It is one of those inevitable panicky scenes right before finding out that everything is cool. Back on topic, I really enjoyed my time with her. I felt like I did a lot of the talking, but then again I always worry about that.
When lunch was finished, I went up to the Morris Center to take my final for my religion class. Unfortunately for me, my test hadn't been printed yet even though I had requested it, and instead of printing it off for me, the lady I talked to just told me to come back tomorrow. So, I walked through the rain and the cold just to be told to come back tomorrow. Oh well, that's what I get when I'm at BYU and it's raining. The last time I walked through the rain at BYU I was headed to the med center to find out that my finger was, in fact, broken. By the time I got there and back I was soaked, cold, and in pain. I'm pretty sure I sat in a bubble bath for a half hour after that incident.
Later in the day I went to FHE with my roommates. We had a spiritual thought and spaghetti dinner. It was actually decent; I was surprised. I felt well blended in and welcome. Although, I felt that way last time I was at BYU as well. The people around here just radiate confidence. It feels good to be around that. I don't have to worry about not having anyone to talk to.
By the time I got home I was in a considerable amount of pain, so grabbed a Lyrica, took a bubble bath just to appease my screaming muscles, and then went about cleaning my room. It really wasn't that dirty, just dusty, because I haven't lived in the place. However, with inspection coming up, I want to be extra sure that the place is clean. All I've got to do tomorrow is vacuum. If things go good tomorrow I might just stay another day.

The Unexpected Great Day
My roommate had boys over this morning at one. Yes, one in the morning; I don't call anything after noonday morning. Instead of going downstairs and ask what she thought she was doing (in much more inappropriate terms) I turned on a cd and went to sleep by drowning out the laughing, screaming, and shouting. So, when I woke up again to my cell phone, it was ten o'clock. I slept through my alarm. My mom called me to see if I was coming home so we could go to lunch. I hadn't been planning on it, because my brother and I are going to The Lion King thursday, so I thought that I would go to that and come home after the show.
However, I decided that I needed to help my mom with the grocery shopping for Bear Lake, and that required my going back up to Ogden. It was worth it: Chinese food, choosing yummy food to eat over Labor Day, and a surprising visit from Ryan Taylor. I guess he's been introducing my mom to that Xango stuff: he sells it. Anyways, after that he and I went and visited a bunch of people in the Plain City 6th ward for the missionary council. I was able to enjoy myself and not count how many times I used certain words in the conversation. In other words, I was able to be a normal human being! Which is nice, since when I talk to people I can rarely be that (yes, if I have known you for less than a year, I probably count how many times I use certain words, because it worries me that I sound repetitive in my speech).
We stopped at his house to get a brochure of some sort for my mom on a Xango product, and then headed back to my house for BLTs and sprite. Really, I probably kept him longer than I should have at my house showing off my brother's senior year musical, The Wedding Singer, but I enjoyed it. Hopefully he did.

Life at Chandell
I have officially moved into my room at the Chandell condo 885. I'm only missing a few basics: a nightstand which would furnish a spot for my table lamp, scissors, a special USB cord that hooks into my printer (it didn't come with the printer for some reason), and some fabric softener. All of these things can probably be fixed quickly, except for maybe the printer problem. I've actually accomplished more in these last twenty four hours for school than I would have if I were to have stayed in Plain City. Don't get me wrong, I love home, but the no distraction zone here at school allows me to focus on getting my class lessons done online, and offers more opportunities to go to cultural events for my honors program. Speaking of which, I did today. I went to the James Tissot Life of Christ exhibit at the MOA. If anyone happens down here within the next month or so, make a point to go see that exhibit. Even if you aren't Christian, it makes you appreciate Christianity.
So, here's what you've all been waiting for (Well, not really, but I can pretend, right?)!

This is my room when viewed walking into it. I have a private master bedroom upstairs. There really isn't much of a view from outside, so I didn't take a picture from the window.
My room is already gathering clutter. At least the floor is clean of it, right?
Those two doors on either side of my printer are closets. Yes, I have two closets. Be envious.
This picture was taken mainly for me to be able to show off my friend Megan Moulding's awesomeness. She sends me postcards whenever she goes on vacation, so I have postcards from France and Spain. More than 3/4 of what you see on this board is from her. The other few tidbits are from Kit Fair, Shy Wardleigh, and my parents.
This is also a picture to credit Megan for awesomeness. That coaster is the amazing present she got me from California. I have already used it twice since I've been here.
Hopefully soon I will be able to get some roommate pictures, but that's not a guarantee. I haven't even met one of my roommates yet, and she and her buddy room across the hallway from me! Victoria, the freshman from San Diego, California, lives in the other private master bedroom downstairs. Her dad owns the condo. Now her, I might be able to get a picture of, just maybe.
