A Much Needed Break

This weekend I took a much needed break. I'll probably pay for it this week by not having homework done, but oh well. I went home. On Friday my mom called and told me that my brother had two free tickets to go see Rare Bird at the University of Utah (he crewed the show), and that he was going to buy us one more, and so my mom, my dad, and I went to the show. It was awesome. Afterwards we went to Gourmandise for dessert. Tiramisu is one of the best desserts ever made.

Saturday was pretty chill. Sleeping in, lunch at Maddox, fun projects, the Big Bang Theory. I made a purse of sorts (pictures to come . . . maybe) and some cake balls and some kiwi lime sorbet.

My mom wanted to make them look like clovers, but we didn't have the little stem, so it didn't work out as well as we wanted. Still, they tasted good.

Lisa enjoying the mint chocolate.

My kiwi lime sorbet. It was ridiculously good.

If there's enough demand, I may add my recipe to my blog. So if you want it, comment!

And then on Sunday I went to church, of course. Sat next to my friend Ryan Taylor. It was nice to see him, since I never do anymore, what with me living in Provo and him in Plain City. Then I went to my Uncle Scott's and Aunt Carol's house for our annual St. Patrick's day dinner. Yeah, it was the day after St. Patrick's, but everyone was still in the spirit. However, I got pictures of only my cousin's ridiculously cute kids. Other people in the photos are in them just because Tajsha and Junior were with them. Cute kids. Fun evening. Now if it would quit snowing and get warm again, I'd be content for the week.

It's All Part of My Life

Thanksgiving is great.  It gives me time to contemplate my life.  For instance, my brother brought home a season of The Big Bang Theory, and as I sat down and watched a bunch of episodes with him, I realized that I feel a lot like Penny.  This is partly because these types of guys are the only ones I ever get asked out by.  I laugh at the show, but then kind of get the oh, this is a bit like my life, and that's ridiculous thought.

So girls, if you're interested, these are the kinds of guys that you will find at BYU, especially in the sciences.

Want more of this funny stuff?  Check out the show.

Thanksgiving

This year, I decided to take pictures of Thanksgiving, but I got busy and therefore gave the camera to my cousin, Joey Balaich.  There are, consequently, no photos of him.  However, he did get some fun ones!

Good Food, Hot Man Therapy, And Adrenaline All In One Go

Warning:  This is a really long photo post.  If your computer takes time to load images, but you still want to read this post, then I suggest that you do something else for awhile and let the photos load.

My brother and I went to the Jazz game tonight.  It was really fun.  My dad splits season tickets with a couple other guys; he's done that for somewhere between ten and twelve years now.  We all enjoy it.  When I grow up and move on with life, I really want to be able to own my own set of season tickets and continue on the tradition.

We started out by eating at Tucanos.  My bank account after that episode is now drained to a whole ten dollars... oh well.  I have a bunch of cash that I should probably just rely upon until Christmastime.  And then came the Jazz Game!

So, you'll notice that for the Jazz Game photos, most of my pictures involve Andrei Kirilenko in some way or another.  This is part of the hot man therapy.  Then, there's number 20, Gordon Hayward.  He's my age, just seven months older.  He's already a millionaire, just because he can play this sport well.  I do believe he's handsome, and I'm debating on whether or not he counts as eye candy.  The fact that I'm debating it probably means he is.

That other dude by Deron Williams is Chris Paul.

Al Jefferson.

The Jazz Bear got a big balloon full of confetti going around, and then he popped it.

That's the confetti from the balloon in the air.

The best mascot!  He was going to sled down the stairs, and some Hornets fan got in the way and made it so we didn't get to watch him go down the stairs.  The ushers moved the guy out of the way and talked to him.  The Jazz Bear came back with a vengeance.  He got a big yellow balloon, tied the Hornets fan's hat to it, and let the balloon go.  Then he threw a cake in the guy's face.  Go Jazz Bear!  The guy had it coming.  I'm pretty sure that the ushers warned him it would be happening.

Gordon Hayward with the ball.

Another one of Hayward.

Me and my brother at halftime.

I tried to get a picture that would show how close we are to the court.  I don't know how well that worked.

Yes, yes it is.
